ESTACA joined the POLYMERIS competitiveness cluster in January 2021!
New member in mechanical engineering research
Polymeris is the only competition cluster dedicated to rubbers, plastics and composites, and is thus in line with the research themes on composite materials of the ESTACA’LAB mechanics cluster.
An event was already organised at ESTACA Campus Ouest in October 2020 on “reducing weight for a responsible future”. Following ESTACA’s membership of the cluster and contact with a partner company, ESTACA is involved in setting up a project on de-icing of aircraft and helicopters.

Polymeris counts 380 members and 65 partners in research, training, and industrial laboratories and technical centres, including leading international clusters. In France, it is well established in the regions, with a branch in Laval that ESTACA works with. The goal of Polymeris is to support 50 new European projects by 2025.
