Conference: “New Technologies Can Change the World”
Paul Duan defines himself as a young, committed social entrepreneur. He came to meet ESTACA students in December to share his values, commitment and his entrepreneurial journey.
At just 27 years old, Paul Duan is internationally recognised for his exceptional career. The media define him as the “French algorithm genius”, the “white knight of Silicon Valley” or the “superhero of data science”. The American magazine Forbes has named him one of the six finalists in its competition for entrepreneurs under 30 who will change the world, and the heads of government of several countries have placed their trust in him to solve problems such as unemployment, security and micro-credits…
He came to ESTACA to talk about his exceptional career path, which led him to give up a high-paying job in Silicon Valley to create Bayes Impact, an association that develops free digital services, including a platform that helps jobseekers find a job. Since its creation in 2016, the platform has already helped hundreds of thousands of people find a job.
The aim of his speech was to make students aware of the possibilities of creating businesses in a wide range of fields. It was also to open people’s minds to the possibilities offered by new technologies in building a better world for tomorrow. And in the context of the ecological transition, there are also great challenges to be met in transport!
