Consolidating International Partnerships

Internationalizing training and opening to the professional world is a way of enabling students, teachers and researchers to foster cooperation, exchange knowledge and access opportunities abroad.
From September 23 to 25, 2024, the “ESTACA International Partner Days” were organized on the Laval campus. Several of the School’s international partners came to meet students and present their programs: Beihang University, China; Estonian Maritime Academy, Estonia; Esslingen University, Germany; University of Limerick, Ireland; Politecnico di Torino, Italy; Technical University of Technology Cartagena, Spain; Cranfield University, UK; Purdue University, USA; University of California San Diego, USA; Vietnam Aviation Academy.
The event began with an opening conference entitled: “Internationalization in higher education: Trends and perspectives to inform strategic and operational planning” presented by Kate Jennings, founder and president of Jennings International Education Leadership & Training, and former president of the International Education Leadership Knowledge Community (IEL-KC) of NAFSA in 2024.
This was followed by a series of workshops designed to open up the debate on international mobility for staff and students. There followed a visit to the Laval campus and the ESTACA incubator to meet student associations and discover their innovative projects.
This event strengthened ties between the participating institutions and provided an opportunity to share best practices in international cooperation. ESTACA’s academic and research departments also took this opportunity to discuss international development prospects.
Discovering Exchange Opportunities for ESTACA Students
A forum was organized for ESTACA students on Wednesday 25th September. It was an opportunity for our students to meet and exchange ideas with our partner universities at their stands. More was learned about their course offerings and how they welcome students for exchange semesters or dual diplomas.
These events enabled ESTACA to continue to affirm its commitment to offering its students enriching international training prospects, while strengthening its partnerships with leading institutions around the world.
One semester abroad is a compulsory part of every student’s training at ESTACA. Understanding technological and cultural differences around the world is an essential part of any future engineer’s background. Our international presence enables us to train engineers who are technically competent and able to adapt to multicultural environments.
