ESTACA and Naval Group Sign a Partnership Agreement
ESTACA, a post-baccalaureate engineering school specializing in sustainable transport, and Naval Group, an international naval defense company, have strengthened their ties by signing a partnership agreement.
The goal is to develop the School’s offering in line with Naval Group’s industrial needs, through cooperation on initial and continuing engineering training, research, innovation and development projects, and measures to facilitate hiring interns, work-study students and engineers.
Acquiring scientific and technical skills for successful professional integration
Naval Group has been working with ESTACA since the naval program was created in 2021 and is strengthening its ties with the school through its commitment to engineering training. Students undergoing initial training will benefit from the scientific and technical knowledge of Naval Group experts, who will speak at the school, host themed conferences, business meetings and debates, and talk about possible careers and professions within the Group. Students will also be able to go on visits to the company’s sites to learn more about the shipbuilding industry.
To meet recruitment needs in the sector, ESTACA is committed to facilitating the hiring of interns, apprentices and graduate engineers, by organizing personalized actions. For its part, Naval Group will support students in their career development by making available internship, apprenticeship and professionalization opportunities, and running recruitment interview simulation workshops.
The scope of this partnership will also apply to vocational training. Naval Group will be able to work with ESTACA to train its employees from technician to engineer level.
Measure already taken in the naval program show that ESTACA’s training programs are well suited to the needs of Naval Group: many of the school’s engineers work for the company and are present at 8 of the group’s 10 sites, in Cherbourg, Brest, Lorient, Saint-Tropez, Ollioules, Angoulême-Ruelle, Bagneux and Toulon.
Developing and maintaining skills in the key naval defense sector
By creating ESTACA’s naval program, and signing this partnership, Naval Group and ESTACA have embarked on a joint initiative to ensure the long-term future of the cutting-edge skills needed in the naval defense sector.
As a company with a long-term vision, Naval Group needs to maintain its skills in more than 200 specific areas (nuclear propulsion, diving safety, submarine architecture, etc.).
