ESTACA hosts international students for the Space Summer Program
As part of its international outreach, the ISAE Group, consisting of the major aerospace schools in France (SUPAERO, ENSMA, SUPMECA, ENAC, Ecole de l’Air et de l’Espace and ESTACA), is organizing a short training programme for international students who want to gain expertise from French schools: the Space Summer Program.
The Space Summer Program aims to provide comprehensive space training based on the respective areas of teaching and expertise of each school.
Students are hosted for four weeks in 5 schools in the ISAE Group: ESTACA in Paris-Saclay, ISAE-SUPMECA in St Ouen, ISAE-ENSMA in Poitiers, ISAE-SUPAERO in Toulouse, and the ECOLE DE L’AIR ET DE L’ESPACE in Salons de Provence.
In 2022, some twenty students, mainly from foreign partner universities, including 16 from the USA, 4 from Europe, 1 from India and 1 from New Zealand, were in France from 30 May to 25 June to take part in this space programme, which is taught in English.
ESTACA hosted them from 30 May for a week of around twenty hours of classes and lectures, punctuated by two company visits: Dassault Systèmes and Airbus Defence & Space followed by a visit to the Château de Versailles and an evening tour of Paris.
