The Research Department Creates Its Valorization Unit
As part of its innovation policy, ESTACA has created a research application unit to increase the value, impact and external applications of its research center, ESTACA’LAB. The aim of this new unit is to make better use of the knowledge and skills of ESTACA’s teacher-researchers, while encouraging them to answer internal calls for projects, in order to raise the profile of ESTACA’s expertise and create new opportunities for collaboration.
Enhancing ESTACA’LAB’s Expertise in Sustainable, Intelligent and Safe Mobility
ESTACA’LAB, the School’s research center, develops applied research into new forms of mobility, in line with industrial, societal and environmental challenges. Its research areas, which cut across all transport sectors, directly address the issues of sustainable, intelligent and safe mobility. Its goal is to promote its scientific influence and appeal, and create pivotal industrial and academic partnerships, where resources can be shared to plan large-scale projects.
As an essential part of its innovation policy, research application is already regularly monitored, based on indicators identified in line with strategic priorities, such as the number and value of research contracts, the number of patents filed, the number of partnerships, etc. It must now take on a new dimension to give greater visibility to the expertise and achievements of ESTACA’LAB teams.
The Main Goals of the Application Division
The application unit has been set up to further strengthen and shape application activities with a view to boosting partnership research. It aims to develop:
- dissemination, support and understanding of calls for projects
- development of industrial or subsidized contracts and research chairs
- participation in setting up partnerships with companies
- promotion of inventions
- raising awareness of intellectual property and patent issues among students and teacher-researchers
- promoting skills through knowledge transfer
- the creation of links with technology transfer structures
- stronger international collaborative projects.
